Subject: QUANTAR POWER AMPLIFIERS

MODELS AFFECTED: ALL QUANTAR RADIOS VHF, 800, 900 MHZ

When making any repairs to the below listed Power Amplifiers, especially when any PA modules are replaced, it is highly recommended that the servicing technician check the resistance of the circulator load TTN5238A for 50 ohms resistance.

To check the load's resistance, remove the Omega Strap to the load module and check the resistance with an Ohmmeter for a value of 50 ohms. If the circulator load has failed, the Final or Driver PA module may have been damaged. If the circulator load needs replacing, the PA deck should be retested to insure proper performance.
