Dave Krauss, NX4Y made a v.24 board circa 2017 which was the minimum viable product of a v.24 board. This was amazing in it's simplicity, only 3 parts and one IC.

It worked well to interconnect the quantar to a Cisco DEC interface, but had no provisions for internal clocking or any ESD protection. Bypass caps were absent and there was no RF protection on it. They worked well in the Quantar, but the RJ-45 connector was placed improperly to sit without a great deal of cant on the 8 wire/astrotac wireline board.
