I am a radio ham based in England, UK (callsign G8TZL).

I have a 29.7 MHz GM360 which is the European version of the CDM1550. I am looking to modify this to 10m. I have programmed many ex commercial radios to the ham bands but I am looking for some guidance on using CHIRP to program the radio down to 29.000 MHz or whatever frequency is appropriate (at least down to 29.500 MHz).

Will I need to alter the tuning piers as well as the band edges as I am only going 200 - 300KHz out of band? Can I just lower the first tuning pier (which is probably around 29.7 MHz or do I need to alter all the tuning piers? Will I need to realign the front end or is tuning all very broad?

I would be interested to find out if somebody else has used CHIRP to program a CDM / GM360 onto 10m so I can compare notes.

Thanks,
