Kindle PaperWhite 5 Signature Edition (2021)
Some pictures and video of this device.
I got it and it came with 5.14.3.0.1 on it and unfortunately there's not a root available for it. Opening it wasn't that bad, no glue or razor needed.

There's some information on using a serial port, but I can't find a serial connection on the kindle. I didn't look at the back of the board, as it was glued in, nor did I remove the shields. I'm thinking they may be using the USB C port in a debug mode.
Possible rooting methods to explore:
- serial port
- if not debug mode, does it support OTG? Would be strange for console to use that.
- jtag - perhaps on the back?
- removing the flash chip and reading it, then putting it back on board (BGA chip, lead free solder, general pain int the ass)
