<p>Subject: QUANTAR/QUANTRO BASE/REPEATER STATION WILDCARD OUTPUT COMPATIBILITY
ISSUE </p>

<p>MODELS AFFECTED: T5365A WITH OPTION X233 OR X157 WILDCARD
& SECURENET OPERATION </p>

<p>SYSTEMS AFFECTED: CONVENTIONAL AND TRUNKING </p>

<p>PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: POSSIBLE LOSS OF SECURE AUDIO ON THE
RECEIVE WIRELINE WHEN THE WILDCARD IS ENABLED </p>

<p>PROBLEM RESOLUTION: Using RSS, Wildcard Output #2 must be
programmed Active LO and a Wildcard table needs to be added in
the RSS so that Output # 2 is driven by RX CD DETECT. That is,
use RX CD DETECT as the state and the action is SET OUTPUT 2 and
the inaction is CLR OUTPUT 2. Do not use Wildcard output #2 for
any other Wildcard functionality. RSS release 7.02.02 provides
this table as the default; RSS releases 7.00.00 and 7.00.01 do
not. </p>

<p>NOTE: If a customer needs to use all the Wildcard outputs and
the stationï¿½s receive Wireline is also used, an upgrade consisting
of a new Wireline board (CLN1295A Basic 4 wire or CLN1296A Enhanced
8 wire) and firmware R9.00.00 will be required. The release date
for the new boards and firmware is scheduled for November 1996. </p>
