WARNING:   If the new Motorola Power Supply is installed with a non-compatible Station

Control Board the Station Control Board will fail.

It has been determined that there is an incompatibility between certain Non-Epic Station Control Boards (kits listed above), and the new Motorola Power Supply (kits listed above). The incompatibility is caused by the new Motorola Power Supplies rapid voltage rise time on power up which is not compatible with the voltage regulation circuitry in the above mentioned Station Control Boards. The above Station Control Boards shipped between January 1993 and December 1994, and the new Motorola Power Supplies shipped after September 1998.

RESOLUTION:   To resolve this incompatibility problem, when an older power supply needs to be replaced, Motorola will exchange the older Station Control Board, listed above, with a refurbished and modified Station Control Board.

NOTE:   Before sending the older Power Supply in for replacement, check the part number of the Station Control Board to see if it is in the list above.

If it is listed, check to see if there is a label affixed to the board (PSB #872 MODIFICATION COMPLETED), located next to the part number label, indicating the board has already been refurbished and modified to comply with this PSB.

If no label is noted and the board is listed above, contact the Motorola System Support Center at 1-800-221-7144 to obtain a refurbished and modified Station Control Board at no cost, by referencing this bulletin number.

Be prepared to supply the part number of the board required, station serial number, and shipping information.

WARNING:   If the new Motorola Power Supply is installed with a non-compatible Station

Control Board the Station Control Board will fail.
